Has anyone had success engraving precious metal silver clay?

You might try searching the forum. This has been brought up a time or two.
Some suggested that you make molds out of acrylic then use them to form the clay.
Big thing was the clay shrinks 20-25%.
I have done that, and used a two part molding clay from Michaels (food safe) to make chocolates
They came out ok.

I was thinking of that too because the clay turns to metal when heated so if you take a thin raw clay and vector or raster an image you should be able to form a thin metal part and wash off the remaining clay. Maybe you should try on the cheaper brass clay.

Tried the silver stuff. Rolled it out very thin (about 1/32") and vectored at maximum power/low speed and slightly defocussed - to make the line wider - on my 60W Epilog. A few random beads of molten silver appeared, but since they did not join up at all, the test was a complete failure. Shame.
