Laser Etching Help

I need to have some gifts laser etched. They are brass.

Normally I'd suggest checking the Friends of the Creek directory, but it's a bit difficult to read at the moment...

Laser isn't normally what you want for brass. You want a rotary engraver. These are becoming less and less common, but any local engraving shop should have one. Worse case scenerio is you have them cut a piece of aluminum/brass with coating and they will engrave that and apply it to the gift. Just remember, if you want it engraved directly on the gift, it has to fit in the machine and be a flat surface. Also remember it might be costly because it takes a lot of time to setup these one off jobs. I'd almost suggest you just find someone to make you a plate. Typically the most cost effective method.
