Thought that I would share something that I have been working on for a few weeks. This is custom made lattice for a restaurant. I bought redwood 2x6s and planed then to 1.25” thick. Then I built a fixture to gang route the half moon shapes on each side. Next I cut the 2x6s down to 7/16” slats and routed half lap joints in each space between the half moons. With help the slats were laid out at a 45 degree angle on a large table then glued and nailed with a 23 gauge nails at every joint. After assembly the panels were cut to size then fitted into redwood frames. In total 43 panels were built using over 2500 ½” 23 gauge nails and just over a gallon of glue.
