2nd bowl i think rims weird probably should have just taken it off so many voids / bark 10x10x 3 5/8
anyone ever do blo -> renwax -> wop ?

That's a nice looking bowl. It's got great color and I kinda like the rim also. It gives it a beefy look.

Nice looking bowl. I use minwax Antique oil for art bowls and Mike Mahoney's walnut oil for utility bowls.

David, that wood is beautiful! Since you have made a heavy bowl, I think the rim works on this one. Were the walls thin, then it would be too much. On your question regarding finish, I do BLO, WOP, then Renwax. I would fear that the application of the Renwax before the WOP could cause lack of adhesion for the WOP.

That is some great looking stuff and although heavy, it kind of emphasizes the "I'm a beautiful chunk of wood".

What a gorgeous piece of wood! I'm with JK... I would worry that the Ren wax might cause trouble if it's under the WOP.
