I've been waiting to make this post for a long time as I ordered this lathe the end of October, but it just arrived. I bought it on the last day of the woodcraft sale after agonizing over the purchase throughout the sale.

Anyway, here's my new Nova 1624 along with the new Nova G3 chuck as well as a brand new tool rest from Jeff Nicol. All of this is replacing my Shopsmith setup and its a world of difference. The lathe is incredibly smooth, especially compared to the Shopsmith, and the Jeff Nicol tool rest is simply amazing.

Also attached is the first completed item I've turned with it, a small little ambrosia maple bowl, about 5" x 2".

Nick, I would say you did well on the lathe - good reputation, and being on sale certainly allows room for more toys! Good work on the bowl!
