I roughed this bowl out a couple years ago and set it aside. Somehow it managed to hide from me until recently. I came across it while looking for something to turn while a couple HFs are drying. Unfortunately in the last couple of years this thing transformed into concrete, or at least that is how it seemed. It ended up at 7" x 4". Finish was one coat of home brew oil followed by w coats of WOP, then beall buffed and ren wax.

That is a cool garage find Steven!! Great bark adhesion and a nice finish. Sometimes concrete is good!

Nice work on this one, and you deserve an award of some sort for turning seasoned locust!!! I would prefer to turn concrete! Love the holes!

Pretty bowl. The colors and the bark remind me of some hickory I roughed out a couple weeks ago. The holes set this one apart from the ordinary!
