Any alternate recommendations (besides the manufacturer) for Laser engraving parts, ie. replacement lens, mirror, wear parts, marking fluid, etc?

I have a universal ILS12.150.

Thanks,
Paul

For Lens's and Mirrors try here..Laser Research Optics (http://www.laserresearch.net/). I haven't looked into anyplace for the other things you mention.

I just ordered new vector cutting honeycomb grids for our lasers from Plascore (http://www.plascore.com/) 4) 1"x18.5"x32.5" 1/4" grid 3003 aluminum core for $58 ea vs $180. Downside is if you're not using a full 4'x8' sheet of the core you'll probably pay a premium.

Have also gotten lenses for Laser Research who have been great (have noticed if you can ID the necessary lens without spec'ing that it's for an engraving laser you may be able to get it for less).

Belts can also be had on the internet. Check your length, width etc and you will save a bundle-especially the kevlar impregnated ones. I bought 10' for 1/4th what it would cost from the laser mfgr for 3'!!!

OK, I've had a couple of requests for belting. I spent a few minutes this morning surfing and trying to recall where I purchased the replacement belts I needed. I'm almost certain I bought from Belt Corp in Cummings GA. They have a site (now!!! but I had to use the Thomas Register @ work back then to find them (late 90's)) you can google along with an 800# to ask questions. Hope this will help!

Does anybody have a source for bearings? I have to replace the X bearings once in awhile and I think they could be a lot cheaper. I've searched a few times without much luck.

If anyone has inexpensive sources for honeycomb (other than Plascore in the US) please let me know!

+1

Nice people, good quality and reasonably priced, bordering on cheap.

Thanks. I think I looked there. I'll have to try again. I think the problem is, I don't know what to call them. U-bearings?
