This was a small bowl, 6 1/8 across and couple of inches high. I decided I wanted to make something different with it and I got this idea of a birdbath. I’m pretty happy with it and may make this one of my signature items and use all my small bowl for this. It was very fun to make and I got use of my donut chuck I just made. The bowl was made from a piece of box elder I recieved as door prize at our club, we all draw for the door prize which is usually a roughed out bowl and this was my first win. The rest of the birdbath is made from honey locust and walnut.

A nice, clean turning with a great finish. Very interesting use of the bowl - looks cute with the birds perched on it!

Ron - that's a really original idea when it comes to turning! Don't believe I have seen anything like it before!

Nice work! Hope you sell bunches of them!

Am I the only one that sees a Martini Glass there?

You know, I look at it and thought maybe I could make a base similar and maybe a little taller bowl and have a fancy glass of some sort.:D

Very beautiful. Good idea to use the colored glass.
