Nice bowl Ken! I really like the plain wood look of this - real clean! Nice detail work - especially like the contrasting elements between inside/outside of the bowl!

The wood may be plain but the details dress it up and make it a pretty bowl!

Ken,
That's the beauty of maple. A really stable wood that you can embellish with detail. I really like the shape of this one.

Nice Ken. I like the added detail work. Maple can be plain. At a recent presentation Graeme Priddle made the point that if the wood is the star keep the design simple, if the wood is plain, then kick up the design to show off turning skills. I think you did this on the piece.

Perfect bowl Ken, I love the shape/form on both the inside and outside, the sharp delineation works well on this plain Maple, well done  :D

Baxter- You are a funny guy haha! I cut firewood from dawn to dusk saturday, and am getting ready to head back out as soon as its light enough to see!

Thanks everyone else. I really dont know what happened, except that I know my V on my varigrind slid on me and gave me a very weird angle that I did not catch until bowl #2. By #3 I was frustrated and trying to get my gouge back to where I like it and just made stupid mistakes. I took a break and roughed out a Hickory NE so all is good.
