Seems like lots of people looking for good impact/drill-driver combo. This well rated Makita set on sale this morning at Amazon. ~$70 off yesterday's price. Caught my attention (and click).

I bit too. I've had my eye on the set for a while. Almost bit when it was $200 at HD for Black Friday, but held off. Amazon (my favorite retailer) having it for less, plus free shipping and no sales tax, made it too hard to pass up again.

Me too. This will be my first impact driver. Seems like a very good deal.

Hmmm, where is it? I've already got one, but I know of a few people who would want it. . .

Matt,

This price is only good for today so your friends need to move quickly on this, "Gold Box Deal of the Day".

I bought this to replace my ryobi. I have heard great things about them, so I am sure I will be happy.

I have the same set and it works great. If you never had an impact driver you will wonder how you lived without it

Why did I look at this thread! - Ken, you're costing me some money. I may have to pull out the "cold piece" credit card for this one.

Thanks....I guess. 8-)

We have a few of these and they are great. Only thing I will say is the small batteries dont last long at all but for in shop use they are fantastic.

Hey Mark
It sounds like you have this kit. I am looking for a drill driver/Impact that can do some of the heavier jobs around the house..ie drilling thru masonary/concrete. Have you used this Makita for that type use or mostly woodworking usage?
Thanks
Jim
