Here are 20+ tops that my 14 yr old son Max made for a man in Atlanta who is giving them as CHRISTMAS gifts. Max is planning to use the proceeds to pay for his gift shopping this year, so both buyer and seller are happy campers.:D

Tony that is neat. What better way to spend some time turning and for a good cause.

Tony I turned a box full of tops a few years ago for fun and practice. LOML has them in a round tin in the family room and when we have family get-togethers sooner or later young and old alike have them out seeing who can keep theirs spinning the longest.

When I made mine, I would take 1/2 inch scrap, drill a 3/8 or 1/2 inch hole in the center, glue in a contrasting color dowel, mount and turn.

Thanks everyone for your comments, Max does like to turn on his Jet mini, but at his age, he really likes it when $$ is involved. You can see more about him and his work by doing a search for 'Max Greenway'. He is located on a couple of websites; our own and also a well known tool company's site.

Tony - got to this one a little late! Let Max know that we all really like what he has been doing on the lathe! Plus - now that he is selling his work - doesn't that make him a Pro Turner? Cool!

Hope you and your family are all doing well!
