Don, this one is certainly a nice piece of wood. Looks like you have a few small knots that the Triple EE may have gotten in. I would suggest after rough sanding, that you lay on a coat of shellac for sealer and fill the knots with coffee grounds mixed with CA or Titebond. You can then do a shear cut to smooth off the filled areas, and resand for a finish.

Though I like footed bowls, IMO this one may have done better with less or no foot. The return curve into the foot seems to be a little distracting on a bowl this "low."

Is this another bargain bin piece!! Very nice if so.

i left the knots naturalon purpose but afterwards i wish i had filled them maybe i still will maybe not

i agree with you on the foot, John , usually i like a foot but this one not so much

this is another bargain bin piece :D

i got another Big Leaf Maple block from the bargain bin today and have a Sycamore block and a couple more Ambrosia Maple blocks from said bin just waiting to be turned

they need to restock that thing more often :D:D:D

Pretty piece of wood. No wonder they can't keep the bargain bin stocked!

Great looking piece of wood, and a nice job turning. Personally, I like the foot, adds a nice touch.

Real nice looking chunk of walnut! Not 100% on the foot but it does make the piece different!
