View Full Version : Weather proofing doors with good stuff?

I have been installing a number of products on very old doors to better insultate them. It is going well, but I am less than thrilled with the selection of stuff from my BORGS. All seem to be made by MD Building Products (http://www.mdteam.com/index.php) and the price is low, but so is the overall quality. They work, but won't work for long (cheap vinyl will wear and require replacing - all products I believe). Does anyone know if there is better out there? There has to be, right? If so, what brands do you like and where do you get it?

Hmmm The last container of "Good Stuff" that I had, certainly insulated me:D

Unfortunately, all the 'junque' coming out of China seems to have taken over the market.. I wonder how much they import, or manufacture 'in' China. (is there 'made in China' stickers on their products?) I'm sure 'someone' must still actually 'make' this stuff in N.America, but because of the far better quality, it's going to be expensive compared to the vinyl 'chineseium' most distributors are offering..
