There's several scripts running in the background, if you have them
turned off it won't load. (won't load for me either)
Why do they need to run so many scripts?

Without getting into a complete web browser tutorial Ill say this to those with a little browser kung foo in their head ...

If you want to download all of them ... one easy way is to:
- use Mozilla Firefox
- get the addon called "DownThemAll"
- Load the page ... keep scrolling down until you see every noun image
- Right click the page and 'DownThemAll' use *.svg as the filter.

There are now two sites referenced in active threads here that seem to go out of their way not to work correctly with IE8. I realize that Microsoft (and IE) bashing is a popular indoor sport in some circles, but seriously: if you're trying to expose a product (even a free one) to a large online audience, actively annoying the users of the most popular browser is probably not a winning strategy.

I don't know if you're entirely correct Lee. About 2 weeks ago it was announced on the news that for the first time IE was being used on less than half of computers.

Yes, very true.

This is the issue as I see it..... the site may not work in IE, but it probably works on most other browsers, and if it was written for IE, it would still work on most other browsers. I gave up IE about 2 years ago and I enjoy the internet again.

Not if it included active-x or vbscript ;)

Thanks for the link; nice images. Also the Firefox add-on is a useful one.

All the little scripts are there because every symbol has a mouse-over pop up.. A refreshing change from websites that 'only' work with 'that other thing':D

Looking at the source shows that the doctype is not declared. If it isn't, IE8 does odd things in quirks mode.
