OK...

This is a two-fold question.

First...Where is a good place for me to find parts/accessories for my Bosch Colt? I know I can get them from the manufacturer, but I was hoping for someplace cheaper.

Second, I was hoping for a bit of "reassurance". I just picked up this Colt (PR20EVS) at the local BORG. It was the demo model and it is just the router itself. No case, no nothin'...even the collet is missing. That's the bad news. The good news is that I got it for $40.

Did I do good???

Depends what the collet costs you but say its $10, that 1/2 of new. You'll need a collet wrench but any wrench that fits works and you can get a cheapie for a few bucks. I don't use the cases so I don't consider that to be worth anything to me.

This is where I get part for just about everything.

The collet is $5.50 there.

I was trying to buy a box for my non-EVS model Colt and found out that the EVS box doesn't fit. If you want it, you can have it for shipping. I think there is a priority mail flat rate box that it would fit in. (and I would have to find it :D)

Thanks guys for the replies.

I'll give you all an update. I contacted Bosch and explained my problem. They're shipping me a new collet for FREE!

I am planning on giving it to myself for Christmas.

I am planning on giving it to myself for Christmas. That's pretty cool of Bosch. Might throw in some 1/4" shank bits as some stocking stuffers if you don't have that many. ;)

I picked up a colt last year during a managers special at Rockler. I don't use it all that often as most of my bit collection is still 1/2" shank.
