Hello all,
I am looking for a large roughing gouge. The biggest I have seen so far is the 1-3/4" Pinnacle from Woodcraft. Are there any others out there to look at, even larger if possible?
Cheers, Andrew

+1 on the BB. I have the middle size for them and it is nice. But I have decided I want to get their 2" version.

I recently got the big BB RG. It's pretty nice, BUT it does not necessarily remove wood that much faster than my 1" RG. The main thing is that since it's so big, you get a lot of cutting surface to rotate the gouge before it all gets dull...... You probably will not have to stop and sharpen. At all. I think it's worth the investment. The BB version is pretty inexpensive, and a RG is not where I personally would invest in a high quality tool.
Don't get me wrong though. You CAN hog off tremendous chunks of wood, but it's pretty scary.... Take it nice and easy and it works well.
