I really like bowls that showcase sap wood. Looks really nice.

Very nice Bob. I really like the contrast between the sap wood and the heart wood, and the finish looks very soft. Well done!

Very nice Bob. Looks like a NE with the sap wood left on. Love it.

The even grain alignment makes for a very nice looking bowl. I never liked the look of walnut sapwood in flatwork, but in turning it can really accent a piece like you have done here!

Beautiful bowl! I really like E. Walnut for the colors and the look of the grain. It's much different than Black Walnut. Did you turn this dry? I've found E Walnut to be hard as concrete when it gets good and dry.

Nice! Simple "functional" form and stellar use of the wood's natural beauty. Well done.

This was roughed out wet and put through the DNA process. It was hard when dry and the heart wood seemed prone to tear out like it was developing little 'pock marks'. Very light finishing cuts with a super sharp gouge got a reasonably good surface.

I love the grain alignment and the color contrast you maintained between the sap wood and the heart wood. Well done! The form is simple but very nice and it is especially nice that it doesn't detract from what is going on with the colors and grain.
