Died birdhouse...

This took a few days to finish because of the glue-up. It is died maple for the body and the finial and cap are holly. It has 7 pieces, 1 finial, 4 body, and 2 for the cap. The finial is not up to the quality I see here but I am learning;) and having a blast doing it. Just as a side note the last birdhouse I posted took a header off of the back door and is now less 2" of finial. Thanks for looking, Russell

Russell that's a charming little birdhouse (they seem to be chirping in imy psyche...build me... build me - every time I see one lately), and everybody starts exactly where they are. Contintue to have a blast and learn. I like to thnk no one has more fun than me, but these folks in the spinny zone seem to be in a very happy trance :D:eek::p

I forgot to mention that the ornament was made of pen blanks. I have a couple more glued up now and will be playing this afternoon. I need to make one for the person that stabilized and died the blanks.
