Small burl gloat

Got this from a guy I met at a recent craft show - said he had a small burl on a cherry(?) tree, was I interested....

Split it equatorially. Face diameter ~8". Took the pix and immediately doused it in Anchorseal. Will probably start on it middle of next week.
