Thanks! everyone thought it was like a plastic or granite, never tried it before. however, I had a problem with the knots, blew a couple out, but just mixed some sawdust and glue and resanded them down, worked perfectly.

I love the Buckeye burl. That stands out real well and is a winner. I am not a fan of the clip on the BOW. It has too may parts that can get caught on your pocket or other things. I am sure they will be well recieved though. Thanks for showing.

I like them all because they differ in design that is. Buckeye Burl is a standout because this blank is outstanding in itself. The clip fits the wood as a symbol.
Contrasts on the Padauk lifted this pen and made it very interesting.
Lovely presents thoughtful turning, finishing and presentation cause I know it was not a competition but a series ofwholly worthwhile gifts and I trust the receivers value them highly.
Regards Peter.

Really some nice turning on these, and while the Paduak is sweet, that buckeye burl takes the show for me.

All 3 are really nice pens. I've got to agree with the others though. That buckeye burl really stands out & grabs your attention. I also like olive wood & that one is really showing nice grain pattern. All 3 should really go over well. Great job on them.

Very nice job on all of them, but the buckeye takes first place with me too, such beautiful grain!

Thanks all. I have a bunch of other ones I have been doing, selling, giving away, etc..
Yes, I really like the Buckeye, never thought it turn out like that. I may try another or two.
I do a lot of Bocoti & Cocobolo, they always turn out good with good grains. Just did a set of Purple Heart, a couple Red Palm, Canary Wood and some other interesting woods.
Luckily, I have WestPenndHardwoods.com local to me, and they have great selection and a lot of cutoffs. Too many to decide.
Just picked some Hormingo and Rosewood...
