Inserts for Porter Cable Table Saw??

Hello All......(my first post to this group)

I recently purchased a PC table saw from Lowe's following a 5-year hiatus from woodworking. I'm still trying to familiarize myself with all of the sources of "goodies" out there - and its daunting.

My question is this: I would like to buy some blank ZCI's for this PCB270TS saw, but I'm not finding references/cross-references to it in the various online sources. It takes a 15-1/8" x 3-3/4" insert. Anyone out there familiar with this saw and/or accessories for it?

How thick is the factory insert? A lot of people, me included, make our own inserts. It's pretty easy to do, especially if you have a router with a flush trimming bit. What can be tricky is if the part is pretty thin. The Craftsman/Ridgid contractor saws were like this, less than 1/4" thick where the insert sat on the table. It can still be done but it's more challenging. If you do make your own, I'd suggest making a few. A couple zero clearance, maybe one with the blade tilted 45 degrees, a few for various width dado cuts etc.

I was expecting to find that the Delta contractor/old unisaw inserts would be that size but they are shorter, as are the ones for the Dewalt job site saws. Just speculating, but is that the same size as the new Unisaw's insert? I can't find a reference for the dimensions on that saw in a quick search to check the dimensions.

Matt.... My Uni's insert is 3-3/4" x 13-5/16".

Shop made would be fastest. ZCI's are wear items and I don't spend a lot of money on them. I think it would be a good "touchy-feely" way to get some of your chops warmed back up as well ;-)
