So far Stanley 750's are my favorite chisels. I pick them up when I find them at a reasonable price and in doing so I've collected a few that are nearly identical to 750's but only marked "Stanley made in the USA" no number. These don't seemed to be finished quite as nicely (the sides of the 1/4" in particular are not nearly so tapered and the bevel is quite uneven on the unnumbered chisel). I'm not sure about this though as my sample of unmarked tools really isn't big enough to draw conclusions.

Are these an earlier or later version of the 750 or a different line altogether?

Thanks for you help, this is my first post but I've been lurking for a long time and have learned a lot here.

Those are not 750s they made a less expensive models and unless they say 750s they are not considered 750s :(

I have several that are not marked and never noticed any difference other that the prices 750s command on ebay..
