That is lovely. I like the shape and the wood is terrific. Love that you added the tube for water. Nice to see that it is functional.

Alex, been wondering where you were! Nice job on this piece, and good to know you still have some of that beautiful olive burl. Neat idea with the inset reservoir.

I like the fact that it is in use. (flowers compliment it)

Very nice. The wood sure has character and you show it off to good advantage.

Really nice vase. I like the idea of a insert for flowers. Well done.

Great job. Alex. I thought for sure there would be a comment by now about the base, or foot being too big, but I like it, looks just right. Excellent work on some beautiful wood.

A very nice vase out of some very pretty wood, but the additional colors the flowers add, really make it a beautiful one. I especailly like the NE part of the rim. My wife is always asking about making a usable vase for her flowers rather than ones with little bottoms. How large is the insert and where did you get? Thanks.

I like! It's beautiful, and we have fresh cut flowers all the time. I should give one of those a go. Thanks for posting!

Alex - that's real nice! I really like the wood and you did a great job on the form!

Figured school was taking a major part of your day - glad you had time to share this vase! Nice work!

I love the look of this piece. My wife does lots of flower arranging, I'm going to show this to her when I get home tonight! I see you are in CA, did you find the wood locally? Olive seems to be pretty scarce in TX :-(

Alex, I have yet to see a piece of olivewood that didn't have character. This one is no exception! I really like the form, finish, wood and execution! Gorgeous!

Alex I have a solution to your no turning since this vase. With turnings like this you could quit your day job. Great work.:)
