I have never used beeswax before but I had a friend that gave me a bottle of it for helping him move.
I am making a keepsake box for a friend for their wedding. I am using red oak. I tested some finishes and stains on some scraps and my wife really likes the way the bees wax looks.
So question is, can I just use beeswax? Is it a good finish for a keepsake box that probably won't get much use? And do I need to do something over the beeswax?
