G'Day every one I am new here and already to got some questions.
I recently bought a wixey digital read out for my thicknesser.
When I went to install it I took of the cover on the side and found that they where made from plastic and directly behind there is the steel bar that the table slides up and down on, I am thinking that you can not mount it onto the plastic as it is not rigid enough.
Has any one got any suggestions on how to mount it?

I mounted to plastic on my DeWalt 734 but, I secured the plastic cover and then screwed the Wixey to the plastic. Has worked wonderfully for years.

Thanks for your replies Neil and Glenn,
I didn't have any Aluminium angle or plate so use this piece of tin till I find something better.
My thicknesser is a generic brand re-badge by Timbecon would be interested to know what they are sold under in the US of A?
