I recently got an early Christmas present of a set of Robert Sorby Beading Tools. How do I sharpen these? Sharpen the top, bottom, sides? They have a bevel on the side as shown in the pic I've drawn but it sure is small! They felt sharp out of the box but when I tried them, they burned the wood and chipped out the bead once it was created so they obviously need to be sharpened.

I would just hone the top of the tool with a diamond hone... That's how I sharpen my threading tools. I suppose you could hone the little side bevels, but the margin for error would be pretty small.

I just hone mine across the top.

Yup, just hone the top surface. Don't touch anything else.
