so I went back up to Webster for another round of rust hunting this morning. not quite as many tools this week as last but I did find a North Brothers Yankee 2101 10".
It has the red "YANKEE" in the top knob so my understanding is that it is definitely before the Stanley takeover. The ratchet is very smooth. Price $18.
I also picked up a piece of leather form a belt maker to line my bench vice jaws with when I build my bench.
My question is in regards to a Sargent 1080. The guy I bought the brace from said he has a 1080 in wooden box with all the cutters in the canvas roll. I know the 1080 compares to the Stanley 45, my question is what would be a fair price for one? I am seeing prices all over the place, including some over $400, but I can find 46's for less then that. He is bringing the 1080 next week for me to see.
Anyway here is a pic of the 2101 and the leather :)
