i'm looking into getting a 50" clamp guide.
any recommendations? woodcraft sells Woodriver and Bora brands...was thinking of using the $10 off $25 code today.
or are there better clamp guides out there?

I have two Bora and do not like them. You cannot attach a saw or router plate to them. They also take some work to ensure they are square to the stock, don't know if others pose this challenge or not. If I could do it over I would by Emerson clamp guides

are the Woodriver guides made by Emerson?

and what about the back to back guides: http://www.woodcraft.com/Product/2021082/24550/WoodRiver-BacktoBack-Clamp-Guide-50-inch.aspx
what do they do exactly? should i stick with the standard model?

I have the 24 and 48" Emerson guides and would buy them again, I'll actually probably get the 36" at some point also. My only complaint is on where the movable clamp bites on the rod it can get a bit burred up causing the jaw to get stuck at times where you have clamped many times on similar widths(for me the location to clamp a 48" panel). Other then that I don't have any problems, easily worth the money for me.
