need some advice on building beaded face frame cabinets. I looked at the
KREG system for doing this, but it is kinda expensive for just a single
purpose machine. Is there any other jigs out there for this or has someone
built one for themselves ? I sure would appreciate some help on this as I
have already promised I would do them. Thanks

Welcome Logan.

Try searching old posts on your question as you might find a lot of info already without waiting for folks to respond. May get you some quick reading material.

Here is a post we had in Jan about beaded face frames.

I think beaded face frames are cool and want to attempt to re-engineer the setup as well sometime. That or/and I just put the Kreg Beaded Jig setup on my Christmase wish list LOL. $500 is steep but it is better than some of the prices I saw on purpose built setups at IWF that were thousands of dollars. For my needs a $10 jig would be the best idea.

Hi Logan,

Welcome to Sawmill Creek.

If you follow the link Mike has in his post here it takes you to a thread with a link in the second post by Kieth Ouellette to a jig I built thats similar to the kreg jig but cost me nothing to build. If you decide to do your beaded face frames with this method it's very important that you do all the joinery first and then the bead. By doing it this way you will get rid of any tearout from cutting the joints.

If you have any questions about the jig you can send me a pm or just ask here.

I just went back and looked at that other thread and saw I had posted more pictures there.
