This is a tiny clock I have been working on on and off for a while.

Its based on a larger woodline clock. I had to redesign the gears and am working on the pendulum system now.

Michael, is that out of a woodworking book? I think I have a book that's got that very clock in it, all the plans too, but it's all hand drawn, so no files. I've looked at that clock 100's of times and told myself I'm going to start drawing the parts in corel, but it's a project that keeps getting pushed out the way by paying jobs.

If it is that same clock, great job in converting all the files over!

Looks fantastic.

What are you using for bearing material to keep it free spinning?

I might have to get into this type of stuff. I am a gear head at heart as well!!

For low tech gear bushings I use:

shoulder spacers:

and acetal dowel pins for axles and pinning gears together:

Higher up the precision scale would be silicon bronze sleeve bushings with stainless dowel pins. Up from there, needle bearings and ball bearings. All can be found at McMaster Carr.
