That's awesome, Dave :)

I always wanted to try one on my laser, but I can't even find Corian here in Germany, so this project wandered back into the drawer

Cheers, Andrea

You may be able to use a white or "milk" plexiglas for this.

That should be available.

Andrea,

You should be able to find some Corian-like manufacturers in Germany... I'll dig into my bookmarks when I get home and see if I can find you a couple. I seem to recall LG Hi-Macs having one of their main contacts in Germany.

Mike,

The thread that you link to is what inspired me to try.

These things are interesting and while I admit I haven't tried more I keep looking for a material that would lend itself to even better results. I would prefer something about an 1/8" thick and pale in color.

Your result is quite good with well defined detail.

Thanks for your tips :) I found it - it's made by DuPont. They will send me a list of supply sources where I can get it. We dont have that thickness you used, Dave - standard thickness is 12mm here, but glacier white is available in 4mm

looking at those lithophanes, I always had porcelain in mind - maybe I give that a try
