Refinishing old redwood

I just finished dissembling and sanding down a picnic table that my great grandfather built. It's really old, but in remarkable shape. My plan is to put some solid color Super Duck stain on it http://www.superdeck.com/Superdeck-Products/Solid-Color-Deck--Siding-Stain/index.html Is this a good plan, or is there a better finish out there? It's going to be living in Western Oregon, with lots of rain.
