very nice. Is that from on of those kits from Rockler? What kind of wood is it?

Yep great hardware from Rockler, it was like $18. Handle is curly maple with an acid / heat finish.

Now THAT is a pizza cutter. I like that kit the most. And then you go and pull off a handle like that?!

That is one pretty cutter. I don't think I could get my wife to use something that nice.

Larry, that certainly is a beautiful handle! When you say acid/heat, are you using the vinegar/steel wool method?

By the way, I edited your post to bring the number of pics down to the max allowed 5 pics. Hope I left the five you would have picked!

Hey John,
Sorry about the pic max, just took a bunch and posted. Thanks for the comments guys.... The handle is actually supposed to screw off, but I broke the stem off and had a bunch of troubles, and finally shoved the collar into the handle itself, and tried to save the project.

Anyways, the acid recipe I like is steel wool dissolved in muriatic acid, then heat. After that a little reddish brown transtint. Theres tons of variation on this out there.......
