I'm looking to upgrade to a larger planer from my DW735 and came across this machine during my search. Anyone know anything about it or how well they work? I know nothing about Woodtek, assuming it's an Asian made machine which doesn't bother me.

I've seen the huge industrial machines online, this seems more reasonable.

Guessing the only benefit is more material removal per pass?

Wild looking machine!

I went with a woodmaster 817 and am very happy!

I've been looking at getting a 718 for a while now, they look pretty solid and I like the 18" width. Feels silly to upgrade from 13" to 15", figure while I'm at it I might as well go a little wider... Then I found this machine and got curious.

The woodtech is woodworkers supply house brand. I have a couple of their machines and they are nice, paint colors are okay. I have seen this planer in their showroom once and it looked really good. I also have the Woodmaster 718 and I think its built really well. It is a nice planer and the variable feed is really nice for a planer.

Regards!

I had a Woodtek 15" planer and I had nothing to complain about...except that it was only 15"...:D Solid machine and true.
