This weekend, the estate of a local farmer is going up for auction. One of the items is a General 260 lathe, with bed extension. It is listed as a 7.5 HP single phase motor, but the lathe has the big handle on the front for speed selection - so I'm guessing it is not VFD controlled.
I already have a Vicmarc lathe, so I don't really need another lathe, but I'm wondering at what price most folks would consider this lathe a "steal"?
