LOML gave me a PC557 for Christmas, I bought a container of 100 #20 biscuits from the box store for $5.98. Seems kind of steep to me, where do y'all buy bulk biscuits from and how much do y'all pay? I don't mind buying by the 1000's if the price is right.

I buy mine from Amazon. 1,000 at a crack! About $19! I bought all three sizes and probably won't buy any more for the rest of my life!

Just make sure you have an air-tight container to store them in...heavy moisture in the air can make them "expand before their time" otherwise. You want to save that feature for the glue!

I thought of that Jim :) , I'll probably 'seal-a-meal' them by the 100's for long term storage.

I buy mine by the 1000 and keep them in "Zip-Lock" bags. Never had a problem with mosture.
Amazon has good price on them.
I bought mine at a woodworking show from Peachtree Supply.

Hey, great idea! Maybe that way I can get my wife involved in woodworking too ?

I bought a 1000 bag of size 20s back when I got my biscuiter. I don't know where they all ended up but I'm down to a couple hundred maybe. Some of them are a little balky going in the slots. I haven't tried this, but hear that you can bake them at low temperature for a while to get them dry and thin again. I keep my active stock in the clear plastic PC screw top tube that held my first 100. It gets replenished from the big bag, which keeps me from going in there often.

Enjoy your jointer!

I've heard you can freeze them too, to keep the moisture from expanding them.

Reminds me of a story.
Some (many) years ago young Christian (me) and his brother froze snowballs. One day my mum wanted to cook dumplings .... :D
What a wonderful meal ;)

I bought a few ammo box's that have good seals on them and also tossed in a few dry packs into each ammo box. Using the same batch of biscuits for about 7 years now. ;)

Woodworkers Supply has PC biscuits. 19.95 per 1000 last I bought.
