Good evening fellows. Been a while since I last posted. Still reading almost all of the threads. I have another question regarding a drawknife, again. The drawknife, a 4", was made by Contoocook Works. I haven't been able to find any info on the company or any of it's tools. So do any of you know of any info or links that would shed some light this way.

I have had this knife for several years and never cleaned the patina. After reading about using 600-1000 grit sandpaper and WD40 to find the etching on hand saws. I used this and found the name, never heard or seen anything about them before.

The knife belonged to my wife's grandfather, as did a lot of my hand tools.
The knife is made of some really good metal. A little tough to sharpen but it will hold it's edge really well.

Thanks
David
