I took some worthless wood blanks to work a few weeks ago for some input on their appearance. 2 of the blanks sold before I even left work. The Red and the Blue were the two blanks that sold and this is the results of them, plus one additional blank I cast afterwards to try and capture the gold effect that I had previously made on another trial blank.

The kits are Triton Fountain Pens...the first is Gold with Chrome accents and the other two are Chrome with Gold accents.
The wood for the red and blue pens is Cherry Burl and the yellow/gold is Maple Burl.
The medium is Alumilite with Alumilite Gold pigment.
The blanks were finished in CA and sanded to 12000 MM and polished with Huts Ultra Plastic Polish.

Comments and Suggestions welcomed.

Well done sir! I love doing pens...Instant gratification and good $$ too! Did you use Alumilite for the Red/Bule as well or PR and color? Did I say they were really nice?

Thanks.

Yes the medium for all 3 pens is Alumilite and there is Gold Alumilite pigment (mica) added.
