Hi there,

I am a turner and need help for my brother.

He is replicating a chair using plywood. He has made kerf cuts to bend the wood and asked me to recommend and epoxy or glue to stop the wood from springing back when unclamped.

Please recommend what you think what would work best for this application.

As I said, I am a turner and not smart enough to cut anything straight:rolleyes:

Check out any of the urea resin glues; they have a long open time and very little spring back. Unibond 800 & Urac 185 are good brands to consider. I'm not a fan of Weldwood plastic resin glue because of the moisture content (some issues with thin veneers). If you need the result to be waterproof then use Weldwood Resorcinol glue. Be sure to use ventilation and accurately measure the 2 parts of these glues.
