This Ash urn is 9x6 and has 4 or 5 coats of AO and buffed. I ended up putting a coat of KIWI neutral shoe polish on it with a hand buffing to soften the gloss and give it a better feeling in the hand. A simple pattern is burned into the mouth and repeats on the lid...Bill...

Very nice. The shoe polish was used AFTER the gloss to soften the finish? Never thought of that one.

I like the form. It is a beautiful piece. Great job.

William, very nice job. I've seen $700.00 and $800.00 urns on the shelves of our Funeral Homes that didn't have this individuality and warmth. Love the burn work:)

William, that is a stunning piece. I love the form and really like the way the base turns under to give the form lift. Outstanding finish.

Bill, I like this one! Lord knows, I am a finial lover, and I realize the necessity of the lid on the urn, but this piece looks really good either way. Maybe it could serve double duty?!?!

Nicely done. The pyro work really adds something for me. Thanks for posting the pics.

Bill that is simple beautiful. I really like the finish. I have used the shoe polish on several items after watching Cindy Drozda use it.

Good looking piece. Will have to try both the shoepolish and the burning.
