View Full Version : Another Keepsake Box Finished

Well, I got this one finished just under the Christmas bell (truth be known it still needed a few more finishing coats!). Kind of a whimsical design, but it just seemed to work with the wood I had on hand (still trying to use up that darn rotten wood I got! :D ). Speaking of wood, I have no idea what the darker wood is ... just found it in a scrap bin at the store and liked it. All I know is it's harder than @%#$! ... accidently ran across it with a round rasp file and hardly even left a mark! Anybody out there have an idea what it is??

hey thats a nice piece...i like it alot......im not sure but i think that the wood is cocobolo??? maybe???

That's what I was thinking too, but since I've never worked with that either I'm just not sure. Anybody else out there recognize it??

I like it, but don't think it is Cocobola. Maybe Bubinga? What's the other burl?
