Having a new issue with material slipping on a WBS..

I was sanding 2x8 maple, it slips, towards the operator. Doesnt fly, but jerks.. It seems that the conveyor slides under the wood.

This has never been a problem, I let the sander sit for a month, away.. Started using it again and it slips.

I am wondering if the conveyor material hardened up ?

Must be someone who has had this issue.. ?

Going by my experience, the belts do glaze over after some time and need to be resurfaced. Get yourself a new 60 grit (or maybe rougher, but 60 works for me) belt and override the height limit switch if any. Using a sharpie or similar marker, make some lines running side-to-side on the feed belt. With the sanding belt and feed belt both running, very slowly (by hand) raise the table until it starts to hit the feed belt. Be patient and keep raising the table bit by bit until the marker lines are gone. Good as new ;-)
