Someone would like me to laser a dog face on something to make a clock...thought of doing it on a wood plank...
Another idea I had was to cermark a photo of her dog on a circular saw blade
and attaching the clock hands and numbers...Its going in a garage.
Any thoughts or ideas whether the cermark would laser a photo on the blade?

Thanks,
Linda

Shouldn't be a problem, as long as the blade will never be used to cut.

They show the electro mark of saw blades with etch-o-matic.... A conductive sponge, some fluid and a dc power source... The Stencils process is expensive.....

Had a thought.... Since many of us have Lasers.... Cover in Laser Mask, Laser design and then use the electro process to make a black mark.

If you get a diablo blade they are coated red. You can etch off the coating. For that matter I always thought painting a blade black and etching would be a sharp look. -Shawn

Cermark works just fine on saw blades. I've done a few.

I've made lots of them with saw blades, but I spray with a primer
and then black rattle can paint. Then laser off the paint.
They look pretty sharp.

But .. no reason why the Cermark wouldn't work. I'd get a new
blade (you can often get cheap ones for <$1 ) and hit it with
some alcohol to get rid of the lettering before you spray.
