Well, I'm finally at the point where I want to get into the rounded profile edge tools. I do mostly furniture building in my little shop and am looking into what are the best sizes in gouges, rounds, and hollows to get first. Any ideas?

furniture then it's probably best to go with smaller profiles. H/R #2 to 10. As far as gouges go, I have a few back bent gouges I use solely for cleaning up the molding profiles, ie. tearout and such.

I think I use my back bent #25/10 more than any other, however. The only other that comes close is the #11 veiner. Either 1mm or 2mm wide. It allows you to lay out your work initially.

A broad #3 is what I use very often. I have a #3 in 3 different widths.
