Birdseye maple veneer box with burgundy interior. I took this design from "The Book of Boxes" by Andrew Crawford.

Fantastic job on the Birdseye Jewelry box Tom!

I have a question....

....How did you fasten the burgundy velour to the sides of your beautiful box?....or is that sprayed in flocking?

Very nice. I would be curious to know how you did the edge inlay with the curved surfaces. Were the sides all laminate that you pressed with the veneer on them, or did you shape solid wood and put the veneer on it?

Hey Tom,
How did you make the curved sides and top? Was it a laminated glue up, cut from solid stock, or...?

It looks really classy.
Jeff :)

WOW! Love the shapely design. Very beautiful. How did you do the inlays on the compound curves? I'd like to build a humidor in that style.:D
