Hi Mike,
I have this chuck and I use it on my Nova 1624. I have no problems with it and I have a large set of jaws for it. There aren't a lot of different jaws available for it. I caught mine on sale fOr about $80, I consider it to be a very good buy.

I have four of the Grizzly chucks for $99 and purchased the 4" jaws for doing bowls and big HF's. They are the clone of the Vicmarc VM100 and their jaws will fit the Griz chuck.

May I jump in and ask a question.
The chuck looks interesting to me; however, I need 1 1/8 x 8 adapter.
Did not see it listed on the web site.
Thanks for directions for finding a source.

Which lathe uses a 1-1/8x8? I've never heard of that.
Many of the "bigger" lathes (like the PM3520 and bigger jets) use 1-1/4x8.

Here's a Nova G3 at Woodcraft. I just got their email today and if I didn't already have 2 chucks I would consider this one....
Especially for $149....

I would consider this Chuck if you would like to be set for life, Price hurts only once, cheap quality EVERY time you have to use it
