The Wednesday before Christmas I invited the children of a client in the neighborhood to visit my shop and make some presents. I heard them talking about what they could make for their parents while I was finishing a fireplace mantle in their home. The pens are suppose to be for their parents but I haven’t heard if they were actually given to them. Their sitter came along which helped me quite a lot. It took about 2 ½ hours to make 3 pens which I thought was pretty good for 10 years old twins and a 12 years old boy. Evan did well on his own until it came to final shaping. The twins required a little more assistance.

Left to right. Streamline bigleaf maple, streamline apple, and slimline Corian.
It was a lot of fun and I expect they well ask to come back again.
