I went to the "Revolution in Wood" exhibition yesterday at the Renwick Museum in Washington. The exhibit includes works by many of the past and current masters of woodturning. The Capital Area Woodturners had a member over at lunch time to give a lathe demonstration. Both the exhibit and demo were great.

David Ellsworth is on tap to give a talk next week at the museum.

For those living in the DC area or there visiting, it is more than worth the (free) price of admission.

I was there. Other than the acoustics in that room being horrible making me have to strain a little bit to make sure I could hear everything that Ellsworth said, it was a good talk. The collection of wood art downstairs, of which Ellsworth has a few pieces included, features some amazing stuff as well. It is called "The Bresler Collection" and much of it can be viewed via an online slide show from a link off of this webpage:
