I want to make some beaded face frames for a closet project. Kreg has a beaded face frame system for the router table, expensive $499; Sommerfeldt just came out with their version, more reasonably priced at $229; Woodline has a set of two router bits to make the beaded face frame, $60 on their website.

My question is this, how is the quality of the Woodline router bits?

Thanks

George

I'm no expert by any means but they do a good smooth job. I'm happy with them.

I've used some Woodline bits for years, they seem to be as good as any of the other 2nd tier carbide bit sets like MCLS and Woodcraft...

One thing that used to be the case, is that they offered a lifetime warranty. Used to be able to take them to their booth at the woodworking shows and they'd swap them out for new bits if you had any issues with any of the bits.

These days, the WW'ing shows are relatively outdated, so the ease of "using" the warranty is lessened a bit.

I go along with Julian. Probably not top quality but they work well for occasional use. I used to think they were a step up from MLCS but I just bought a MLCS molding bit and it seems better than their older noncoated bits. My latest MLCS bit has a gray coating on the non-carbide parts. Woodline has some good bits for the $$ IMO.

I use Woodline bits with good success.

You can't beat their customer service.

Wayne Sutter, company pres, has some posts on this and other forums where he has taken good care of his customers.
