i got the slim shark guard with a 3" opening.
what do you guys recommend for the transition from 4" flex?
3" is a tweener size so not much ready-made stuff available.

i've found a reducer from 4" hose to 3" hose...with this i would need a short piece of 3" flex to complete the transition.

there's also the multi-step reducer that you can hack to the step you need.

i'd like to figure something out for quick disconnect.
any ideas?

Greetings from NC!
I had Lee make me his first 3 inch SharkGuard 2 years ago and have been 100% satisfied with the product. I fabricated an overarm pickup from 3 inch exhaust pipe tee'd into a 5X3 wye from my Unisaw cabinet base dust collection. The 3 inch flex I purchased locally is a snug, slip fit over the exhaust pipe and not clamped to facilitate removal of the SharkGuard. If you need a short piece (15 inches) of 3 inch flex, I have some left from my installation. The local source has it by the box (it's used frequently for hosiery knitting machines around here) if you need a longer piece.
